Park Circle Art Event: Metamorphosis

East Montague Avenue in Park Circle’s Old Village

A detailed schedule of artists and venues will be available February 4. An initial sampling includes:

Sesame Burgers and Beer- Blues Music, Paintings by Lisa Shimko and others
Half Moon Outfitters Distribution Center- Live Graffiti on Plywood
South of Broadway- Short films presented by Nick Smith and Kevin Harrison
Mixson Office- Fine art by Kevin Harrison and James Christopher Hill
North Charleston Meeting Place- Art by area students, installations and live music.
Park Circle Coffee and Cream- Spoken word and progressive art
Bella Bella Coiffures- Abstract expressionists
Johnny’s Grill and Spirits- Photography
Madra Rua Irish Pub- Digital Projections in alleyways and installations
The Mill- Fine art by Chuck Keppler, Michael Lane, Phillip Hyman, Razz, Sharen Mitchell, accompanied by blues music
Evo’s Pizzeria- Music by Mike Wolk, artwork by Fred Jamar and Peter Scala
The Chart- performance art

Family entertainment is planned from 5-7 with children’s art, hot dogs and face painting.

Metamorphosis is the latest event to draw attention to the reviving Old Village area of North Charleston, now home to a number of thriving independent businesses and artists. Bringing together business owners, area artists, students and residents from North Charleston and the greater Charleston community, Metamorphosis celebrate’s Park Circle’s diversity and talent.
